Karlheinz Rothausen

Karlheinz Rothausen (* 1928 ) is a German paleontologist .

He was a professor at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz , he at in 1965 with the work "The systematic position of the European Squalodontidae (Odontoceti, Mamm.)" Habilitated. He mainly dealt with the Tertiary of the Mainz Basin and with the research of fossil whales . From 1977 to 1980 he was Vice President of Gutenberg University.

1983 to 1985 he was President of the Paleontological Society .
