IC 3900 is a lens-shaped galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Haar der Berenice in the northern sky . It is an estimated 318 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter. The galaxy is a member of the Coma galaxy cluster Abell 1656 .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4797 , NGC 4807 , NGC 4827 , IC 3913 .
The Type Ia supernova SN 2001cg was observed here.
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on June 25, 1903 .
