José Aristeu Vieira
José Aristeu Vieira (born July 14, 1952 in Rio Vermelho , Minas Gerais , Brazil ) is a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Luz .
Life
José Aristeu Vieira received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Diamantina on October 13, 1979 .
On February 25, 2015, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Luz. The Archbishop of Diamantina, João Bosco Oliver de Faria , donated him episcopal ordination on May 2nd of the same year . Co-consecrators were the former bishop of Porto Nacional , Geraldo Vieira Gusmão , and Esmeraldo Barreto de Farias IdP , auxiliary bishop in São Luís do Maranhão.
