IC 3908 is a spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type Scd in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 53 million light years from the Milky Way and about 35,000 light years in diameter. It is a member of the 19 galaxies NGC 4697 group (LGG 314).
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4786 , NGC 4813 , IC 833 , IC 3883 .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart in July 1899 .
