IC 3888 is a lens-shaped galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble-type S0 in the constellation Hounds in the northern sky . It is an estimated 434 million light years from the Milky Way and about 130,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 3892 , IC 3895 , IC 3897 , IC 3920 .
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on March 21, 1903 .
