IC 3874 is an elliptical galaxy from the Hubble type E0 in the constellation Coma Berenices the northern sky . It is estimated to be 837 million light years from the Milky Way and about 70,000 light years in diameter .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 3867 , IC 3869 , IC 3871 , IC 3872 .
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on January 27, 1904 .
