history

The original building of the Old Town Mills was erected at the turn of the 15th century near Charles Bridge in Prague . The pictures and works of art made of mosaic stones that were built in at the time are still part of the building today and adorn the inside walls of the club. Initially the building served as a spa for a long time , later a café and the editorial staff of the Czech journalist Karel Havlíček Borovský came to the house one after the other .

In 1848 the building burned down. After that it stood empty for a while and began to deteriorate, until the idea of building a discotheque came up. At the end of the 1990s, the renovation began until the Karlovy Lázně finally welcomed its first guests on December 1st, 1999.
