Karoline Goldhofer-Prützel (* February 12, 1924 in Leverkusen as Karoline Kissmer ; † July 13, 2013 in Memmingen ) was a German entrepreneur.

Career

Goldhofer-Prützel came from the Rhineland. In 1953 she married the entrepreneur Alois Goldhofer (1922–1981), who founded the Allgäuer Fahrzeugwerke Alois Goldhofer KG in Amendingen (Swabia) in 1946 . She joined the management team and was in charge of finance and apprenticeship training.

After the sudden death of her husband in January 1981 during a short vacation, she took over the sole management. She developed the company into the world's leading manufacturer of heavy-duty technology.

In 2000 it converted Goldhofer Fahrzeugwerk GmbH & Co. KG into a stock corporation and was initially the sole shareholder. In 2001, she transferred all the shares in the Alois Goldhofer Foundation she had founded , thereby ensuring the continued existence of the company.

As chairwoman of the foundation, she and her second husband, the lawyer Hans-Hermann Prützel (1918–2006) campaigned for charitable purposes, science and research, education and training as well as cultural and charitable institutions and youth institutions in the region.
