Karoline Noack

Karoline Noack (born July 17, 1961 in Magdeburg ) is a German American composer .

Life

Karoline Noack studied ethnography and history at the Humboldt University in Berlin and at the Universities of Rostock and Leipzig from 1983 to 1988 . In 1988 she graduated from the Humboldt University with a diploma in ethnography. After completing her doctorate in ancient American studies at the FU Berlin in 1996 and various scholarships, she qualified as a professor in 2010 at the FU in cultural anthropology / ancient American studies. Since 2009 Karoline Noack has been a university professor for Ancient American Studies and Ethnology at the Institute for Archeology and Cultural Anthropology in the Department of Ancient American Studies at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn .

Noack has been chairwoman of the Society for Ethnography since 2008 . In 2014 she gave a lecture on the subject of priestesses and warriors - a divided rule! on the occasion of the special exhibition Life and Death in Ancient Peru in the Lippisches Landesmuseum Detmold.
