Company description
karriere.at is a career portal that began as an online job exchange with offers mainly from the commercial-technical area. karriere.at offers around 10,000 job offers, around 90 percent of which come from Austria . Visitors can have job advertisements sent to them automatically and enter their profile in the applicant database. Semantic technology was introduced with a website relaunch in September 2009, and when the website was relaunched in March 2013, the portal was optimized with responsive design for all end devices.
In the karriere.blog visitors will find information on the topics of job search, application , salary, working life, labor market, social, labor law and HR.
For companies, karriere.at offers HR solutions for employee search (placement of job advertisements and applicant database) and for employer branding in the form of employer profiles.
Market position and competitors
According to Google Trends, karriere.at was the online job exchange with the greatest reach in Austria in April 2014. According to ÖWA (www.oewa.at), karriere.at recorded 2,266,433 visits, 876,554 unique clients and 9,260,880 page views in January 2014. In May 2016 it became known that karriere.at had secured shares in hokify, a smartphone app for job and applicant searches.
Direct competitors in the narrower sense include monster.at, stepstone.at, willhaben.at and careesma.at. In the area of highly qualified specialists, there is also the online job exchange from “ DerStandard.at ”. In a broader sense, job meta search engines such as jobswype.at, jobrapido.at, at.indeed.com , jobkralle.at, jobisjob.at, jooble.at or metajob.at can also be named as competitors.
Range network
karriere.at lists around 50 partners in the online and offline area. These include futurezone.at, Format or the job portal jobs.at, which is operated directly by karriere.at. In addition, the job portal cooperates with 400 Austrian municipalities, where job advertisements can also be found regionally. Studies & Research
karriere.at carries out monthly online surveys on HR topics and makes the results available free of charge. Every year karriere.at publishes further studies, for example on the subject of job search and loyalty to the employer. It was shown that apprenticeship graduates have the most stable jobs, but “jobs for life” are a thing of the past. More than half of the 500 participants surveyed by GFK Austria stated that they were open to new job offers.
