Karsten Klopp

Karsten Klopp (born April 16, 1964 in Rodenborg ) is a German agricultural scientist .

Klopp grew up on a farm and attended the primary school Visselhövede and the Ratsgymnasium Rodenborg , which he graduated with the Abitur. He then did his military service and trained as a gardener from 1985 to 1987 in the tree nursery in Verden . He then studied horticulture at the University of Hanover and then obtained his doctorate. In 2001 he started working as a consultant for organic farmers at the fruit growing research institute in Moorende . Since July 1, 2005, he has been the head of the fruit growing research institute and thus successor to Karl-Heinz Tiemann .
