Katarina Ann Tarr (born April 10, 1987 in Whitefish , Montana ) is a former American soccer player .
Career
Katarina Tarr, nicknamed "Kat", played in various leagues, the WPSL, the W-League and the WPS ( Women's Professional Soccer ), for various clubs. In 2005 she played college soccer with the Missouri Tigers at the University of Missouri . In 2006 she played for River Cities Futbol Club , a club from the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) from Edwardsville, Illinois. In 2008 she played one year for the WPS League club Chicago Red Stars . The following year she moved to the WPS League club Buffalo Flash for a year .
When she moved again in January 2010, she went to Germany for the Bundesliga for Tennis Borussia Berlin , where she made her debut in the Bundesliga in the second half of the 2009/10 season and made ten appearances for Berlin. In July 2010 she signed a contract with Bundesliga club SG Essen-Schönebeck , which ended in summer 2013. In September 2011 she suffered a serious injury, torn ligament and capsule injuries to her right ankle in a test match and had to take a break for several weeks.
At the beginning of the 2014 season, she signed a contract with NWSL participant Portland Thorns FC , but had to give up competitive football after one season due to an old knee injury.
Private / work
Katarina "Kat" Tarr is married to Fabian Wöpke, a former goalkeeper for Tennis Borussia Berlin, and lives with her family in the US state of Washington, where she works as a real estate agent.
