Katarina Leigh Waters (born November 10, 1980 in Lüneburg , Germany ) is a British wrestler . She is known for her appearances on Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment . Waters speaks German without an accent.

Career

Beginnings / Independent

Waters began her career as a wrestler under the pseudonym Nikita in February 2000 at the TransAtlantic Wrestling Challenge , a tournament between American and English-born wrestlers of the National Wrestling Alliance . Between 2002 and 2006 Waters competed for Frontier Wrestling Alliance (England), German Stampede Wrestling (Germany) and Shimmer Women Athletes (USA) , among others .

World Wrestling Entertainment (2006 to 2010)

In 2006 Katarina Water signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment and made her debut on August 23, 2006 in the Ohio Valley Wrestling development league . In the following years she was allowed to carry the OVW Womans title twice under the ring name Katie Lee . On February 11, 2008, Waters made her first appearance on the WWE main show RAW. There she appeared as Katie Lee Burchill , the storyline sister of her compatriot Paul Burchill. She made her TV debut as a wrestler at WWE Heat together with Paul Burchill in an "Intergender Handicap Match" against Super Crazy. In the following years it came as part of a feud program to a competition with Mickie James , but Waters lost.

From December 30, 2008 she moved together with Paul Burchill to Extreme Championship Wrestling , where both actors completed a longer feud program against Gregory Helms / The Hurricane. The storyline ended with leaving the ECW.

On January 11, 2010, Katarina Waters returned to RAW as part of a tournament for the vacant WWE Divas Championship . She was released on April 22, 2010.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (2010 to 2012)

Waters made her debut under her new ring name Winter in a backstage segment of TNA Impact! - Issued October 21, 2010 as a fan of Angelina Love . On December 9th, 2010 she was allowed to take part in the tapings for Impact! also win the TNA Knockout Tag Team Champion title on December 23, 2010 .

At Hardcore Justice on August 7, 2011, she defeated Mickie James and became TNA Women's Knockout Champion for the first time . She lost the title back to James on August 25, 2011. On September 11, 2011 Waters got the title back at No Surrender . At Bound for Glory on October 16, 2011, Waters lost the title to Velvet Sky in a match that also included Mickie James and Madison Rayne .

In the following period, especially in 2012, she only appeared sporadically at TNA and left her doctorate in September 2012.
