Wrestling career

Beginnings

At the Ohio Championship Wrestling promotion she won the OCW Women's Championship twice in 2007 and 2008 as Laxi Lane , of which she was the first title holder. October 19, 2008 won Simmons, now as Ashley Lane occurring, along with Neveah at the Women's Wrestling Organization Shimmer , also the first title holder, the Shimmer Tag Team Championship . They lost the title in May 2009.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (2009-2018)

In the TNA iMPACT! - January 8th, 2009 edition, Simmons debuted under her current ring name Madison Rayne in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling . Shortly afterwards she became a member of the Beautiful People , consisting of Angelina Love (later replaced by Lacey Von Erich ) and Velvet Sky . On March 8, 2010, she won the TNA Knockout Tag Team Championship with Sky . At Lockdown on April 18, 2010, she defended the title with Sky against Tara and Angelina Love, who held the TNA Women's Knockout Championship . Simmons pinned Tara and won, through a special match clause, the title of Love and thus became the only one to have held both TNA women's titles. On July 11, 2010 at Victory Road , she lost the title again to Love through disqualification, but got it two days later at iMPACT! again because none of the beautiful people had intervened in their match and thus the title change is not lawful was. On July 27, 2010, she lost the Tag Team title to Hamada & Taylor Wilde after intervening in the defense of Velvet Sky & Lacey von Erich's title.

Simmons had to give up the single title again to Angelina Love at The Whole F'n Show on August 9, 2010. Shortly afterwards, Tara turned out to be a mysterious motorcyclist who intervened several times on behalf of Simmons and accompanied her. They both formed an alliance, with Tara "under contract" with her. On October 11, 2010, Simmons won the individual title for the third time after her "partner" Tara had to lie down for her at the pin, as she won the title the day before at Bound for Glory . She gave the title to Mickie James after 188 days at Lockdown on April 17, 2011 . At Sacrifice a month later, Simmons lost their rematch to Mickie James. This was followed by a brief feud between Simmons and Tara, as this was no longer tied to them by Simmons' lost match. On 26 October 2011 she won at the records of Impact Wrestling with Gail Kim , the TNA Knockout Tag Team Champion title of Brooke Tessmacher and Tara . The team held this title until February 28, 2012. At the tapings to Impact Wrestling, they lost the title to Eric Young and ODB . In the broadcast as a PPV show Hardcore Justice on 12 August 2012, she won for the fourth time TNA Women's Knockout Champion title after Miss Tessmacher defeated . However, Simmons lost the title to Miss Tessmacher four days later at Impact Wrestling.

On July 3, 2013, she announced via Twitter that her contract with TNA had expired and was not being renewed.

On December 12th, Simmons returned on the Impact Wrestling episode, making the save for ODB against Gail Kim and Lei'D Tapa. On January 16, 2014, at Impact Wrestling: Genesis , Rayne defeated Gail Kim and won the Women's Knockout Championship for the fifth time. On April 27, 2014 she had to surrender the Women's Knockout Championship to Angelina Love at Sacrifice .

Ring of Honor Wrestling (2017-2018)

At the Survival of the Fittest event, Rayne competed against Deonna Purrazzo. She later entered the Women of Honor Championship tournament but lost to Mandy Leon in the first round.

WWE (2018)

On July 30, 2018, WWE announced that Rayne would compete in the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament.
