Katarzyna Rabczuk

Katarzyna Rabczuk (born in Poland ) is a Polish opera singer ( soprano ).

Life

She received her first musical training in singing and violin and studied acting and theatrical singing at the “Studio” Danuta Baduszkowa in Gdynia and solo singing at the Gdansk Music Academy . She completed a diploma course at the Rostock University of Music and Theater (hmt) . She is currently studying for a master's degree in opera. Katarzyna Rabczuk took master classes with Paul Esswood , Helen Donath , Janet Williams , Sylvia Koncza and Denis Combe-Castel .

From 2005 to 2011 she worked in the musical field at the Gdynia Music Theater and participated in the productions Fame , Francesco , Dracula , Beauty and the Beast , Fiddler on the Roof , My Fair Lady and Chess .

During her studies in Germany she expanded her opera repertoire and sang the role of Lady Billows in Albert Herring , Violetta in La Traviata and Nella in Gianni Schicchi at the hmt Rostock. She is a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture and in 2015 received the 2nd Prize of the City of Perleberg at the 18th Lotte Lehmann Week.

At the Theater Vorpommern she works as Hannah in The Vetter from Dingsda , Oscar in A Masked Ball , Siebel in Faust and Dame / Pamina / Papagena in The Little Magic Flute .
