Kate Alexa Gudinski (born March 2, 1988 in Melbourne ) is an Australian singer. She is the daughter of the Australian music promoter Michael Gudinski . Kate Alexa's first hit was the 2004 single Always There . The second single, My Day Will Come , was a chart hit. With the support of the Backstreet Boys , the third single All I Hear entered the top ten of the Australian charts and stayed in the top 20 for eight weeks.

Life and music career

Kate started writing songs at the age of thirteen. The following year she recorded her first demo with the self-written song Colors of the Rainbow . In 2004 she got a record deal with Liberation Music . The debut single Always There was selected for the successful Australian series Home and Away .

After high school, Gudinski studied English and photography at a university in Melbourne. In the same year she released her second single, My Day Will Come . This single landed a top hit in the Australian charts. On her eighteenth birthday she released the third single All I Hear , which was also a top hit in the Australian singles charts. On September 23, 2006, their debut album Broken and Beautiful was released.

In 2007 she wrote twelve songs, including two bonus tracks for her album Broken and Beautiful and ten songs for her new album Just Add Water , which serves as the soundtrack for the Australian series H 2 O - Suddenly Mermaid . The album was released in September 2007 and appeared in over 120 countries, including Germany.

Her album Broken and Beautiful hit stores in Japan in February 2008. In February and March 2008 she supported Cyndi Lauper on her tour through Australia.
