Kateryna Karsak

Kateryna Jewheniwna Karsak ( Ukrainian : Катерина Євгенівна Карсак, born December 26, 1985 ) is a Ukrainian discus thrower .

The third of the U23 European Championships in 2005 finished fourth at the European Championships in Gothenburg in 2006 with 62.45 m. In 2007 she won the U23 European Championships in Debrecen with 64.50 m, her personal best (as of 2010). At the 2007 and 2009 World Championships , she was just as unable to qualify for the preliminary battle as she was at the 2008 Olympic Games . On the other hand, she managed to reach the finals at the Summer Universiade 2009 and with a throw of 60.47 m she took third place behind the Australian Dani Samuels and the Polish Żaneta Glanc . At the European Championships in 2010 she was eliminated once again in the qualification.

Karsak starts for Dynamo Odessa. At a height of 1.83 m, her competition weight is 88 kg.
