Katharina Freitag (born August 26, 1987 in Hamburg ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Soccer

Friday started her career in the youth team of Hamburger SV and moved up to the Bundesliga team in the 2003/2004 season . After 34 games and 14 goals, in 4 years with HSV in the highest German women's league, she moved to 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig in 2007 . In Leipzig in 2009/2010 she rose from the regional league to the 2nd Bundesliga North and two years later to the Bundesliga . She made her debut on August 28, 2011 in the top women's division for Lok, in a 0: 4 defeat against 1. FFC Frankfurt . After the 2012/2013 season, Lok Leipzig separated from its women's team and joined the successor club FFV Leipzig .

In June, she and her former FFV Leipzig club colleagues Safi Nyembo , Angelina Lübcke and Marlene Ebermann joined the newly founded club FC Phoenix Leipzig in 2017 .
