Katharina Höftmann

Katharina Höftmann (* 1984 in Rostock ) is a German journalist and book author.

Life

After finishing school, Höftmann studied psychology and German-Jewish history in Berlin and then worked as a journalist and PR consultant for the Scholz & Friends agency . In March 2010 she received a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation in the field of science and foreign journalism and has since published articles for the German Press Agency , Welt Online and Israel HaYom . From a blog that she ran for the world group under the title Guten Morgen, Tel Aviv , a book of the same name grew up and was published by Heyne Verlag in 2011 . In July 2012, her first crime novel was published by the Berlin company Aufbau-Verlag under the title The Last Sin , which takes place in Tel Aviv . The detective novel was nominated for the renowned Friedrich Glauser Prize 2013 in the category "Best Debut". In September 2013, the second part of the crime series about Commissioner Assaf Rosenthal was released with the title "The Rabbi and Evil". Again, this novel is set in Tel Aviv, primarily Jaffa.

Höftmann lives with her partner in Israel and Germany.
