Katharina Horngacher

Katharina Horngacher (born September 21, 1941 in Kufstein ) is an Austrian farmer and former politician ( ÖVP ). Horngacher was a member of the National Council between 1996 and 1999 .

education and profession

After completing compulsory school, Horngacher attended the Rotholz home economics school between 1960 and 1961 and then the Innsbruck Social Women's School from 1961 to 1962 . After Horngacher had worked as a family helper between 1962 and 1965, she became a farmer in 1965 and passed the master's examination in rural housekeeping in 1968. In 1997 she was given the professional title of economist.

politics

Horngacher was local director of the Austrian women's movement in Angath from 1984 to 1989 and between 1984 and 1995 she was the district director of the Austrian women's movement in Kufstein. After she had represented the ÖVP in the Tyrolean state parliament between 1989 and January 24, 1996, she was elected regional party chairwoman of the ÖVP Tyrol and the state party presidency in 1996. In addition, she was a member of the state party executive from 1996. Between January 15, 1996 and October 28, 1999 she represented the ÖVP in the National Council.

Horngacher was also involved in the farmers' representation and was Angat's local farmer from 1972 to 1992 . She was also a district farmer in the Kufstein district from 1981 to 1992 and from 1985 a state farmer in Tyrol.
