Katharina Knap

Katharina Knap (* 1982 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actress.

Life

After a short medical degree, Knap completed an acting course from 2001 to 2005 at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz .

She took on permanent engagements at the Schauspielhaus Graz (2004 to 2006), the Staatstheater Mainz (2006 to 2011), the Centraltheater Leipzig (2011 to 2012) and from 2013 to 2016 at the Schauspiel Stuttgart . In 2013 she made a guest appearance with the Vienna Burgtheater Ensemble at the Salzburg Festival , in 2014 with the Schauspiel Stuttgart at the Berlin Theatertreffen . In the 2016/17 season she was a member of the ensemble at the Landestheater Niederösterreich .

She has been a freelance actress since 2017.

Awards

In 2014, Knap was named Young Actress of the Year by Theater heute magazine .
