Katherine Calder is a former Australian and New Zealand cross-country skier .

Career

Calder took part in competitions of the Fédération Internationale de Ski from 1999 to 2010 . She mainly competed in the Continental Cup and from 2004 in the Australia / New Zealand Cup . He won the overall ranking in 2004 , 2007 and 2009 . She ran her first of a total of 15 World Cup races in Engelberg in December 2000 , which she finished with 41st place in the sprint. This was also her best place in a World Cup race. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2003 in Val di Fiemme and the Nordic World Ski Championships 2005 in Oberstdorf , she finished 53rd and 57th in the sprint. In 2006 and 2008 she won the Kangaroo Hoppet . At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 in Sapporo , she achieved 62nd place over 10 km freestyle and 60th place in sprint. In 2008 she won the Gommerlauf over 30 km. She became a New Zealand citizen in June 2008. Her best placement at the 2009 Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec was 42nd place in the 30 km mass start race. After the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver , where she finished 62nd in 10 km freestyle and 47th in sprint, she ended her career.
