Kathleen Crowley

Betty Jane Kathleen Crowley (born December 26, 1929 in Green Bank , Burlington County , New Jersey ; † April 23, 2017 ) was an American actress who appeared in more than eighty films and television series in her film career, which lasted from 1951 to 1970 participated.

Life

Kathleen Crowley was born in Green Bank in 1929 and attended Egg Harbor City High School, where she graduated in 1946. On August 7, 1949, Crowley won the Miss New Jersey election at Asbury Park at the age of nineteen . In September 1949 she took part in the Miss America election, where she came in sixth.

In 1950 Crowley went to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts . The following year she was seen together with Conrad Nagel in an episode of Robert Montgomery Presents. She got her first film role in 1953 in the western The Silver Whip . In the years that followed, Crowley appeared in more than eighty television series and feature films, including a leading role in the western Train of the Fearless , in Shot Run alongside Robert Redford and in several episodes of Maverick , 77 Sunset Strip , Perry Mason and Bonanza . After a twenty year acting career, Crowley retired in 1970 and moved to her hometown of Green Bank to pursue family life.

Kathleen Crowley was married to John Rubsam from September 1969 until her death. In 1970 their son Matthew was born. She died on April 23, 2017 at the age of 87 in her native Green Bank and was buried in the Green Bank Methodist Cemetery there.
