Kathleen Gutjahr

Kathleen Gutjahr (born July 27, 1975 in Demmin ) is a former German heptathlete .

She won the silver medal at the Junior World Championships in Seoul in 1992 . The following year she was in San Sebastian Junior European Champion and 1994 in Lisbon Junior World Champion . Gutjahr also won gold at the U23 European Championships in Turku in 1997 .

Gutjahr, who started for SC Neubrandenburg , was able to become German champion for the first time in 1995 in the adult division . In 1998 she became German champion for the second time with a new personal best of 6320 points. In 2000 she increased to 6341 points at the all- around meeting in Götzis . In Ratingen , however, she had three invalid attempts at the long jump and missed qualifying for the Olympic Games in Sydney. For this she became German champion for the third time in Wesel. In 2002 Gutjahr qualified for the European Championships in Munich and came in sixth there.
