Kathrin Anklam-Trapp (born March 21, 1968 in Worms ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament . She has been the spokesperson for health policy since 2011 and has been the deputy chairwoman of the SPD parliamentary group in Rhineland-Palatinate since 2015 and a member of the council of elders and the interim committee.

Since 2012 she has been a member of the board of the working group Social Democrats in Health Care and a member of the SPD state board of Rhineland-Palatinate .

Education, work and family

Kathrin Anklam-Trapp trained as a nurse from 1985 to 1987 and worked as such until 1990. From 1990 to 1992 she completed an operating theater specialist training and worked as an operating theater nurse until 2006.

She is in a relationship with the former Mayor of Worms Michael Kissel , lives with her family in Monsheim and has two children.

Kathrin Anklam-Trapp became a member of the SPD in 1993 and was chairwoman of the SPD association Monsheim from 1999 to 2005 . Since 2004 she has been chairwoman of the SPD sub-district Alzey-Worms . She was a member of the local council from 1996 to 2015 and has been a member of the Monsheim municipal council since 1999 . In 1999 she was elected to the district council of Alzey-Worms.

On May 18, 2006, she won the direct mandate in constituency 31 ( Nierstein / Oppenheim , now Rhein-Selz / Wonnegau ) for the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament , which she also achieved in the state elections in 2011 and 2016.

In the 16th legislative period, she was working group chairman and deputy chairman of the Committee on Social Affairs, Labor, Health and Demography, as well as a member of the Committee on Agriculture, Food, Viticulture, Environment and Forests and a member of the Media and Network Policy Committee. In the current legislative period she is a member of the Committee on Health, Nursing and Demography and the Committee on Social Affairs and Labor.
