Kathrin Martelli (born October 21, 1952 in Zurich , citizen of Zurich and Kaltbrunn ) is a former Swiss politician ( FDP ). CV and family

Kathrin Martelli was born in 1952 as the daughter of a private gardener and a secretary in Zurich's Seefeld district . There she also attended primary and secondary school between 1959 and 1968 . From 1968 to 1971 she completed a commercial apprenticeship.

After her training, Kathrin Martelli worked as a secretary, first for an employers' association , then for a patent attorney ; she married and became a housewife in 1975 as the mother of a daughter and a son. She still lives with her husband in Zurich's Seefeld today.

Political career

Career in the FDP

In 1977 Kathrin Martelli joined the FDP and in 1978 was elected to the board of the FDP in Zurich 8 , from 1982 to 1988 she was its president. Kathrin Martelli has been a member of the board of the FDP City of Zurich since 1982.

From 1984 to 1994 Kathrin Martelli was also a member of the board of directors of the Association of Freedom of Democratic Women in the City of Zurich, and from 1990 to 1994 she was president.
