Katja Pfeiffer

Katja Pfeiffer (born May 31, 1973 in Karlsruhe ) is a contemporary German artist and professor of art at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal .

Life

Katja Pfeiffer studied art and education at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1992 and history at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf from 1995 . In 2000 she finished her studies with the first state examination. She completed her art studies with Professors Günther Uecker , Alfonso Hüppi and Jan Dibbets . In 1998 Alfonso Hüppi made her a master class student. Since 2006 she has been Professor of Art with a focus on artistic practice in the Faculty of Design and Art at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal. In 2011 she received the Villa Serpentara scholarship from the Academy of the Arts (Berlin) . Her genres include painting, drawing, collage, photography and sculpture in particular.

Katja Pfeiffer lives in Berlin and Wuppertal.
