Nicholas hat
Nikolaus Hut ( bl. 1348-1383) was canon of Lübeck 1348-1355 and Schwerin from 1355-1374 .
Life
Nikolaus Hut comes from a Lüneburg councilor family, his brother was the Osnabrück bishop Johann II. Hut (1349-1366).
Mentioned on April 29, 1348 as baccalaureus in legibus , on April 4, 1348 he was named as clergyman of the Diocese of Verden . On June 4th of the same year Hut lost the trial for a cathedral prayer in Lübeck , but is documented as a canon of Lübeck from June 23, 1348 to September 17, 1355.
Also from April 29, 1348 on he had a commission with canonicals and prebends at Schwerin, from June 2, 1355 to February 8, 1374 he was provable there as a canon. As Schwerin canon he was on July 3, 1359 by Pope Innocent VI. appointed as papal judge in the dispute between the Lübeck Heilig-Geist-Hospital and the council of Greifswald . In 1363 Nikolaus Hut made annat payments to the papal chamber for his Schwerin and other benefices . In 1369 he received a dispensation from the residence obligation in the cathedral chapter of Schwerin.
An existing commission for the Kolberg collegiate monastery was renewed on June 23, 1348 and on March 4, 1355 the benefice of Kolberg was resigned.
On June 2, 1355 a canonicate, a stipend and the provost was to him Hildesheim awarded and as provost of Hildesheim he is up to the February 19, 1371 detectable. His successor was not named until 1383. From June 2, 1355 he also had a canon position in Verden and the archdeaconate in Bevensen , which he renounced after receiving the Hildesheim provost.
From October 7, 1355 to April 27, 1377 he was given several times for three years papal curators to assist and keep his property, which was finally arranged on July 30, 1383. Then he joined the Carthusian Order .
