Katrín Júlíusdóttir (born November 23, 1974 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic politician ( Alliance ).

Katrín Júlíusdóttir, who studied anthropology at the University of Iceland , became a member of the Icelandic parliament Althing for the southwest constituency in 2003 and has since served on several committees. For example, she was chair of the Committee on Industry and head of the Icelandic delegation to EFTA and the EEA . She was Minister for Industry, Energy and Tourism from May 10, 2009 to September 1, 2012 (on maternity leave from February 24 to September 1, 2012). From October 1, 2012 to May 22, 2013, she was Minister of Finance and Economics.

Since 2013, Katrín Júlíusdóttir was deputy party leader of the Alliance. Her successor since June 2016 was Logi Einarsson .

Katrín Júlíusdóttir had announced that she would not run for the general election in Iceland in 2016 . As a result, it was back on the Alliance's list for the Southwestern constituency, but it was last on the list, and the party was unable to win any more seats in this constituency.
