Katrin Schleenbecker

Katrin Schleenbecker (born January 24, 1977 in Lahn-Gießen ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Life

Schleenbecker comes from a part-time farm in Kinzenbach . She studied philosophy and comparative literature and cultural studies in Giessen and Berlin, but did not complete the courses. During her studies she worked as a student assistant . From 2005 to 2011 she worked as an assistant at Bio-Catering Safran in Hüttenberg .

Schleenbecker is married and has two children.

politics

From 2011 to 2017 Schleenbecker headed the regional office of the Bundestag member Tom Koenigs . In 2011 she was elected to the municipal council of Heuchelheim . There she took over the parliamentary group chairmanship of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in 2016 . In 2016, she also became a research assistant for Marcus Bocklet, Member of the State Parliament . In the same year she was elected to the district assembly in the district of Gießen and became deputy district assembly chairwoman in this local parliament. In 2018, she gave up her district council mandate for professional reasons.

In 21st place on the state list of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen, Schleenbecker was elected member of the Hessian state parliament in the state elections in Hesse in 2018 . She is a member of the Cultural Policy Committee and the Petitions Committee .
