Katrin Wiegand (born October 2, 1968 in Lübeck ) is a German playwright .

Life

Katrin Wiegand studied civil engineering and began writing for the theater in 2012. In 2016, “Kerle im Herbst” premiered as a co-production of the Munich tour, the comedy in the Bayerischer Hof and the Contra-Kreis-Theater Bonn and brought it to more than 140 performances in the first season. In the 2016/17 season, “Sextett im Hochzeitsbett” in the comedy Düsseldorf , “Who knocked?” In the Neue Bühne in Villach and “Auf den Hund” in the Horizont Theater in Cologne premiered. Since then, her pieces have been performed throughout the German-speaking region. Katrin Wiegand lives as a freelance writer in Braunschweig .
