Katrina Marie Howe (born July 20, 1986 in Laconia ) is an American biathlete and former cross-country skier .

Katrina Howe began her career as a cross-country skier. First she started for the Gunstock Nordic Association , since 2006 for the University OF Vermont SKI Team . Since that year she has also competed in international races and national championships. In 2008/09 she ran several times in the US Super Tour and FIS races among the top ten. Nevertheless, after the season she finally switched to biathlon, which she had previously run alongside cross-country skiing.

Howe achieved her breakthrough in North American biathlon in the 2008/09 season in the Biathlon NorAm Cup . In La Patrie she finished second behind BethAnn Chamberlain for the first time , in Jericho she won a sprint and a mass start. Howe was sixth overall in the competition. In the following season , she improved in the overall standings to fifth place, but without reaching a podium once. At the 2010 North American Championships in Fort Kent , she finished fifth in the sprint, missed a medal in fourth in the pursuit, and seventh in the pursuit. The competitions were also the US championships of the year , for the evaluation of which the Canadian starters of the North American championships were counted out. Howe was fourth in the sprint, won the bronze medal in the pursuit behind Tracy Barnes-Coliander and Annelies Cook and was sixth in the mass start race.
