Katsuhiko Tokunaga

Katsuhiko "Katsu" Tokunaga ( Japanese 徳永克彦 , Tokunaga Katsuhiko ; born January 13, 1957 ) is a Japanese military aviation photographer who specializes in air-to-air photography. He works for a large number of aircraft manufacturers, including Dassault , Embraer , Airbus Military , Korean Aerospace , Lockheed Martin , Mikoyan-Gurevich , Pilatus Aircraft , Saab and Sukhoi .

Life

Tokunaga started his career in the back seat of a United States Air Force T-33A Shooting Star in 1978. He has currently flown 50 to 60 military jets in about 50 states and has spent approximately 1,400 hours on those aircraft. He flew as a photographer with the Royal Air Force Red Arrows , the Japanese Blue Impulse , Canadian Snowbirds , the private Breitling Jet Team , the Croatian Krila Oluje , the Chilean Halcones , the French Patrouille de France , Italian Frecce Tricolori , Portuguese Asas de Portugal , Slovak Biele Albatrosys, Spanish Patrulla Águila , Swedish Team 60 , Swiss Patrouille Suisse & PC-7 Team , United States Air Force Thunderbirds , United States Navy Blue Angels , Polish Biało-Czerwone Iskry and Yugoslavian Leteće zvezde .
