Katsunori Iketani

Katsunori Iketani ( Japanese 池 谷 勝 則 , Iketani Katsunori ; born April 15, 1953 in Yokohama ) is a former Japanese car racing driver .

Racing career

Katsunori Iketani began his career in the Japanese Formula 3 championship , where he was registered in a race in 1987 . In 1988 he switched to the Japanese Formula 3000 Championship , where he did not achieve any notable success in the following years.

Iketani competed in sports car races at the same time as the monoposto races . He drove in the Japanese sports car championship, in the sports car world championship and from 1995 in the Super GT . His best place in the final classification was 10th place in the GT300 class in 1997. He started four times in the 24-hour race of Le Mans . In 1989 he and Tim Lee-Davey and Tom Dodd-Noble in a Porsche 962C reached 15th place in the overall ranking. In 1990 he and his partners Pierre de Thoisy and Patrick Trucco - again in a Porsche 962C - came 26th in the final ranking. In the two following missions he could not place himself.
