The kattara is a sword from Oman .

description

The original ring-tailed lemur has a straight, double-edged blade with a sharp point . This form existed before the time of Muhammad . The swords of the Arabian Peninsula changed over time to the curved saber Saif , the Kattara in Oman kept its original shape for a long time. In the 19th century , the slightly curved, single-edged blade came into fashion. The blades of these models often came from Europe .
