Katy Tiz (born July 6, 1988 in England) is an English singer-songwriter who became known for her cover version of the song The Big Bang of the rock mafia .

life and career

Katie Tiz is from near London. In late 2012 she got a record deal with Lava Records / Republic Records and Warner / Chappell Music. With the help of Bruce Tyler, she made contact with the songwriter-producer duo Rock Mafia in 2013 , whose song The Big Bang she released a cover version that made it into the Billboard Hot 100 on May 17, 2014 . After this success she got a contract with Atlantic Records .

In 2015 their second single Whistle (While You Work It) was released , which was produced by JR Rotem . Together with the Jamaican singer Shaggy and the reggae troupe Inner Circle , Tiz released a remix entitled Jus' Whistle (While You Work It). The music video for Whistle (While You Work It) combines real film with animated elements in the style of the film Xanadu . Tiz is a graffito that is brought to life. Tiz is a fan of Banksy's work and said in an interview that this music video came from her love of graffiti and was inspired by some of the best fairy tales of all time. (Eng. Besides writing for himself, Tiz also wrote songs for Girls' Generation and Cheryl Cole . She is currently working on her first album.
