Kazehakase ( Japanese風 博士, translated "Wind Doctor") is a GTK + -based web browser for Linux / Unix operating systems.
Like other web browsers ( e.g. Galeon , Skipstone and Epiphany ), Kazehakase can also use the Gecko rendering engine, derived from Mozilla products, to display websites, but alternatively he can also use WebKit GTK + for display.
The functions include:
- Feed reader with support of RSS as well as the Japanese variants LIRS and HINA-DI
- Drag and drop of tabs
- Mouse gestures
- Import bookmarks from Mozilla Firefox , Mozilla , Netscape , Galeon , Konqueror and w3m ; Shared bookmarks (with XBEL )
- "Smart Bookmarks" programmable using regular expressions
- Full text search in the browser history
- Support of plug-ins
The browser was named after the short story Kazehakase ( German : Dr. Wind ) by the Japanese author Sakaguchi Ango . Kazehakase is freely available under the GNU General Public License .
