Kazumasa Kawano ( Japanese 河野 和 正 , Kawano Kazumasa ; born November 7, 1970 in Ōita Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Kawano learned to play soccer on the school team at Nakatsu Technical High School . He signed his first contract with Mazda in 199 . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the Japan Soccer League Division 2. In 1990/91 he was runner-up in Division 2 with the club and was promoted to Division 1. With the founding of the professional league J.League in 1992 and the associated reorganization of Japanese football, the Mazda became Sanfrecce Hiroshima . In 1994 he was runner-up in the J1 League with the club . For the club he completed 59 first division games. In 1997 he moved to league rivals Nagoya Grampus Eight . In September 1997 he was loaned to the first division club Yokohama Marinos . For the club, he completed 10 first division games. In 1998 he returned to Nagoya Grampus Eight . In 1999 he moved to league rivals Cerezo Osaka . At the end of the 2001 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . For the club he completed 25 games. At the end of 2002 he ended his career as a football player.
