Kazuo Imanishi ( Japanese 今 西 和 男 , Imanishi Kazuo ; born January 12, 1941 in Hiroshima , Hiroshima Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player , coach and official.

Career

From 1963 to 1969 he played for the factory team of Toyo Industries / Mazda (today: Sanfrecce Hiroshima ). In 1966, Imanishi made his debut for the Japanese national soccer team . Imanishi has made three international appearances. From 1970 to 1971 he was the club's coach , from 1982 to 2002 deputy club president and sports director, and from 1984 to 1992 - with the exception of a brief interlude in 1987/8 for Hans Ooft - coach of the team. From 2003 to 2007 he worked as a consultant to the team, and from 2005 to FC Gifu , where he was general manager from 2007 to 2009 and club president from 2008 to 2012.
