Kazuto Kawakami ( Japanese 川 上 和 人 Kawakami Kazuto ; * April 1973 ) is a Japanese scientist at the University of Tokyo . Its areas are ornithology and ecology .

He works at the Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute ( 森林 総 合 研究所 shinrin sōgō-kenkyūjo , a self-governing body under the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries ) in the Educational Resources Group (research group for teaching materials) of the Tama Forestry Garden ( 多摩森林 科学 園Tama Shinrin Kagakuen ) in Hachiōji . He conducts research on interspecific interactions between original and introduced organisms .
