Kazuya Kamenashi

Kazuya Kamenashi ( Japanese 亀 梨 和 也 , Kamenashi Kazuya ; born February 23, 1986 in Tokyo ) is a member of the J-pop band KAT-TUN .

Life

In 2001 at Johnny & Associates , along with five other young people from various Johnny & Associates Junior Units, Domōto Koichi selected him from the Kinki Kids as a backdancer for his NHK show Popjam . But the group was very popular and therefore remained in this formation. Their official debut was announced in January 2006 and their first single, Real Face , was released in March 2006 . KAT-TUN are currently one of the most popular teen idol groups in Japan , all of their singles have so far reached 1st place on the Oricon charts.

Like most of the young men promoted by Johnny, Kamenashi has appeared in a number of television commercials and starred in TV drama . So he did Nobuta in autumn 2005 with the very successful Dorama . where produce received the Best Actor award at the TV Academy Awards . During the broadcast of Nobuta. wo produce together with his dorama partner Tomohisa Yamashita from NEWS under the direction of Johnny & Associates temporarily recorded the single Seishun amigo ( 修ア ア ー ゴ ) as Shuuji to Akira ( 修 二 と 彰 ) for the series.

The single was released on November 2, 2005 and rose to No. 1 on the Oricon charts the following week. It was sold more than 1 million times in less than 4 weeks and even topped the annual Oricon Top 999 in 2005. This makes it the best-selling single in Japan in 2005. Seishun Amigo was also released in Sweden on June 21, 2006 and entered the charts at number 41 the following week.
