Kecskeméti TE (officially Kecskeméti Testedző Egyesület , German Kecskeméter Gymnastics Club ), often called KTE for short , is a football club founded in 1911 from the central Hungarian city of Kecskemét , Bács-Kiskun county, with around 110,000 inhabitants . The club colors are purple and white. The club plays in the Nemzeti Bajnokság III , the third Hungarian football league , in 2018/19 .

KTE plays its home games in the Széktói Stadium, which has a capacity of 6,320 seats.

In the 2007/08 season, KTE established itself on the top of the table in the eastern group of the second division, the Nemzeti Bajnokság II , and secured on May 17, 2008 by a 5-0 win over Vác-Ujbuda LTC promotion to the first class , d. H. the Hungarian National Championship I . In the 2010/11 season, the club won the Hungarian Cup competition for the first time with a 3-2 final victory over champions Videoton FC and thus qualified for the 2011/12 UEFA Europa League , where the team defeated the Kazakh representative FK Aqtöbe in the second qualifying round was subject.
