The Kehrenberg tunnel is a 2400 m long railway tunnel on the high-speed line Hanover – Würzburg in the area of the North Hessian municipality of Körle . The structure accommodates two tracks that can be driven at speeds of up to 250 km / h as planned.

The gradient rises continuously to the south in the tunnel.
The Schwarzenbach valley bridge closes to the north, and the Trockene-Mülmisch valley bridge with the Körle Ost station follows to the south .

Planning and construction
The structure was in planning section 13 in the middle section of the new line.
In 1984 it was calculated at 58.0 million DM with a length of 2366 m.
The tunnel was on 11 June 1986 struck . According to its godmother , it was called the Sieglinde Tunnel .

On September 17, 1999, a 16-year-old boy was hit by a train in front of the tunnel and killed.
