The Keinsprechthütte is an Alpine Club hut of the Vienna Section of the Austrian Alpine Club in the Schladminger Tauern ( Styria ). It is located on the Central Alpine Trail of the PES.
history
In 1907, the Alpine Society Preintaler leased the so-called Herrenhäusl am Zinkboden, the “old Keinbrechthütte”. She ceded the Herrenhäusl in 1912 to the Austrian Alpine Association . When this had become too small for the flow of visitors, the Vienna PES section acquired accommodation on the zinc floor from the mining company “AG Erzhütte”, which was expanded into the new Keinsprechthütte. She had fourteen beds. In 1979 the hut was expanded to include a guest room, washrooms and a mattress store; 1992 a tenant room with shower and new cellar furnished. During the renovation, the floor of the mattress warehouse collapsed because the foundation beams of the hut were rotten. The conversion costs doubled from ATS 350,000 to ATS 700,000. Another renovation in 2002 saw the creation of a new mattress store and four small rooms, and the roof was renewed. The costs for this amounted to approx. ATS 1.5 million (EUR 110,000). A planned kitchen extension and the construction of the gas bottle warehouse prescribed by the district administration had to be postponed.
The hut landlady is currently (as of 2019) Erhard Fischbacher. The winter room is equipped with an AV lock and accessible with an AV key .
