Cellar by the linden trees

Two press houses in Frauendorf (municipality of Sitzendorf an der Schmida ) are referred to as cellars near the lime trees , and are located about one kilometer southeast of the town near two linden trees, one of which is the HL-003 (winter linden tree) natural monument .

The cellars are loosely grouped and their layout dates back to the 18th and early 19th centuries. They are part of the Kellergasse utilization concept of the Lower Austrian village and urban renewal .

Description of the objects

Object 1

Object 1

The first press house on the valley side has a smooth plastered facade with a segmental arch portal on the left, a small rectangular window in the middle and the rectangular Schoßkoar door on the right. Portal, window and lap door frame are framed for cleaning purposes . The building is covered with a hipped roof.

Object 2

Object 2

This object is about 25 meters away from object 1 in a south-easterly direction and a little higher on the slope . It has a slightly damaged facade with a central rectangular portal and a small oblong window to the right of it and has a gable roof covered.
