from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The basement house is a deserted area in the Iphöfer district of Dornheim. The house was demolished in the 20th century.

Geographical location

The desert is about 850 m northwest of the village of Dornheim. The Zettelbach flows past to the north, while in the east, about 100 m away, the Dornheim- Hellmitzheim road still leads past the place. The desert site is about 900 m away from Hellmitzheim. The Hohlbrunnermühle can be found to the southwest . Today the Nuremberg – Würzburg railway runs north-east . The desert is in the Dornheimer Grund corridor.

history

The history of the cellar house goes back to the first half of the 19th century. Back then it was a pub with beer next to a storage cellar on a mountain. In 1826 the landlord Johann Leonhard Rosenbauer received the cellar house from Allod from his wife's dowry. By 1835 it was still in his hands. At the same time, there were the corridors "Am unter Kellerhaus", "Beym Kellerhäuslein" and "Der Kellerhausweg".

Around 1900 the cellar house was mentioned again in the sources. It also served as an inn near the Zettelbach. It was only after 1945 that the property was demolished and the name disappeared.
