Kellicottia is a genus from the tribe of rotifers (Rotatoria). The animals are called unicorn rotifers in German.

description

The animals are 360 to 860 µm in size , depending on the species . There are six spines of different lengths on the front end, whereby the longest can be as long as the rest of the body. They have a smooth armor and are footless, the rear end is formed into a long thorn.
