Kemankeş Ali Pascha (DMG Kemānkeş ʿĀli Paşa ; born in Isparta , Anatolia , died April 3, 1624 ) was a Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire .

Life

After his palace education in Istanbul , Kemankeş Ali Pascha initially received the status of Beylerbey of Diyarbakır with the status of a vizier , but was later transferred to Baghdad after he had some important personalities from this province executed without consulting the ruler, but remained there for only one year and was then discharged from service. After the death of Osman II , he finally returned to Istanbul, where he was mainly concerned with maintaining his own power. This was done through trickery such as the forgery of subversive letters with which he wanted to discredit his predecessors. When this was discovered, he was finally removed from office and executed on April 3, 1624.
