The Pip Iwan Maramureș ( Ukrainian Піп Іван Мармароський Pip Iwan Marmaroskyj ; Romanian Vârful Pop Ivan ) is a 1938 m high mountain in the Maramures Mountains, a mountain range of the Forest Carpathians .
The Pip Iwan Maramureș consists mainly of gneiss and is the highest Ukrainian elevation of the Maramureș Mountains. It has a pyramid shape and a steep slope to the northeast . The mountain has a glacier cirque and a small mountain lake.
Geographical location
The mountain is located in the Ukrainian Rajon Rakhiv of the Zakarpattia Oblast on the border with the Romanian Maramureş District within the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve .
The closest village is the Ukrainian-Romanian border town Dilowe .
