Kempes Feinest is a Kölsch rock - band from Cologne , mainly in the Cologne Carnival is active. The name “Kempes Feinest” pays homage to the former rabble front man and father of the singer, Peter “Kempes” Kempermann.
history
The band formed at the end of 2014 and consists of front woman Nici Kempermann (vocals), guitarist Tom Ederer, drummer Victor González, keyboardist Thomas Gwosdz and bassist Vincent Themba.
After the first self-produced EP Lossjelosse , the song Wenn du nit danze kann’s was released in November 2015 on the “Carnival of the Stars” episode 45. In the same month the band won the “Loss mer singe” casting in 2015 and the following year they won with the song Hück bes do me again secure a place on the 46th episode of the "Carnival of the Stars". In February 2017 the band released their first album DOCH ISSO on Pavement Records .
